An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale shook the state of California, United States. According to the United States Geological Survey, an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale occurred at a depth of 32.3 kilometers.
The Associated Press reported, the earthquake at 15:40 pm, Sunday, April 4, 2010, 05:40 o'clock local time, Monday, April 5, Western Indonesian Time, was felt strongly in downtown Los Angeles and San Diego. Vibration felt in the areas of southern California and Arizona.
Epicenter located at 32.093 north latitude and 115.249 west longitude. The quake was located 26 km to the southwest of Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California.
In Los Angeles, Fire Department issued a status of an earthquake. There are currently no reports casualties or damage from this earthquake.
A policeman in Yuma, Arizona, said the quake was very strong, but no reports of damage. Police also received several reports, mainly related to the alarm companies are ringing.
